Basically cause you can't a PS3 system that has BC in Europe (At least not new), I would rather buy a new one, if mine would break all of a sudden. I sure love to play some of the PS2 games I have. And even more, PS1 games. Like Oddworld's Abe games.

My PS2 did just break 2 months ago.

I want a PS3, but i live in the UK and there are no BC PS3s. So i am waiting for Sony to introduce BC so there is no need to get another PS2.

I'm glad for my PS2. It hasn't broke down ever since. It's a living relic of all the consoles I had.

My PS2 finally broke down from overuse in January, and I choose to use option 1).

Ugh, even the thought of that is painful as that would be number 6 on my ps2 death toll. I'd probably re-buy one though, I still have a lot of love left for the old ps2 library.

Believe me BC sucks on the PS3 at times even for PS games, so stick with a PS2 for your older games is my major advice!

I probably would have to, cause I have several games that do not work proprely on my 60GB EU PS3, and I am thinking about finding the DMC trilogy, cause I am enjoying being Dante so much in DMC 4 at the moment

I would buy another one, but I have had mine since 2003 and its still working fine, and even though I have a 60gb ps3 I prefer playing ps2 games in my ps2 for the vibration function, I mean, it doesnt affect u with ps3 games since camera and sound effects do it for u, but with ps2 gamez I guess u need vibration.
