In response to the title of the thread:
They'd better be darn happy they have Warhawk, or I wouldn't go on at all.

I'd be pissed cause now I'd have to pay for XBL and PSN...

The only way I'd pay for PSN is if they improved it greatly, or announced solid plans to improve it with evidence. Right now with inferior online to XBL and no achievements or anything, I would not buy PSN.

Once home comes out, if its as good as I hope, then I'd buy online.

The only payments I can see Sony charging for is subscriptions to mmo games. The rest will be free. Home is free due to advertisement... but if you want more you can purchase an upgrade i.e. new apartment. Imo, psn will be free, but you want extras then you pay.

Sony will never charge for online, not on the PS3 atleast, that's one of their selling points over the 360, they won't let it go.

I would have to agree with alot of people when I say there would be no more PSN for me. I would still give them credit if they did not become like xbox live/cable TV where you pay a fee and still have to see advertisements. It really pisses me off that me and many other xbox live members pay a fee, and we still see advertisements for things like AXE and Yaris. When I watch my cable TV i have to see commercials. I am at the point to there I am immune to them. I zone out when they come on. I am paying for the cable, and I have to see ADs?! It is bad enough that I have to see Ads, but my television shows are edited. I am a god damn adult! I pay for my TV. If I want to see the real show un edited then give it to me because I fuckin pay for it!!!! I am sorry for the outburst, but that is the way I feel.

I like Sony and the PS3, but I stand by what I've always said, I will not pay twice for my internet.

Sony will keep it free to distinguish it's self from it's competition and just have it's online service subsidised by advertisements, especially in home.

Sony couldnt afford to charge for online service. With the price of their console and the lack of games, it would have been too much. Since the blue ray win they obviously have a large plus now for anyone shopping,(if they wanted a player) but for them to change it mid-console would be unlikely. Perhaps next console they will, but thats a little far ahead to be speculating.
I think sony is fairly lucky the 360 didnt have free online play. Microsoft could have afforded it and would have sold much better, imo, than it has.

I would never pay for it. I vowed long ago to never pay for online play when I can get something far superior and free on the PC.

It would also piss me off, as they'd be going back on their word.

Of course, the chances of it happening are pretty slim, so I'm not worried about it.

I'm not going to pay to play a game I already paid for. That just isn't about to happen. I would switch over to the Wii if Sony did this.
