Forums - Gaming - Prototype of Nintendo and Sony abandoned PlayStation console discovered

I like the end with both going diferente ways, and certainly Nintendo created the beast to hunt them.

How many snes and ps1 games does this console play or just the disc and cartdriges that came with it are playable? Hope the guy answer that.

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

I would've loved this to be a reality. A Sony+Nintendo partnership would've saved me a lot of money and space.

Except for the controller back. And the circle emblem. There doesn't seem to be any Nintendo markings on the system.

I truly wonder what it would be like if Sony and Nintendo are still in a partnership for gaming consoles..

Network extension, was for external modem like the famicom had in Japan.

Thank cats for Nintendo breaking that agreement. They essentially gave us Playstation. Despite owning an NES and SNES, I didn't fall in love with gaming until the PS1, so it's obvious where I stand on this.

The thing that I wonder about is if Nintendo's tyrannical third-party regulations would have still been in place. Nintendo made game developers pay them for making cartridges and set quantity limits as they pleased but CD manufacturing was an entirely different dynamic. It's interesting to think about.

Hardly any Nintendo branding on the console. Their name was relegated to the back of a controller with same-tone color lettering. How sad.

It was a good decision that Sony made their own console...

That's what I was thinking. Imagine if their projects came to reality...no Uncharted, TLOU or Crash in our homes, just to mention these few masterpieces.

...Let the Sony Domination continue with the PS4...

It's a fake:

Update: " A French modder has now claimed to have made the Sony PlayStation SNES model shown today himself, rather than it being a legitimate early version of the rare Sony-Nintendo hybrid."
