In an unfortunate accident a techinician working for a Volkswagen plant near Kassel, Germany died as he was working on assembling a robot:

A 21 year old external contractor was installing the robot together with a colleague when he was struck in the chest by the robot and pressed against a metal plate. He later died of his injuries, reports Chris Bryant, the FT's Frankfurt correspondent.

But in a peculiar coincidence, Sarah O'Connor, an employment correspondent at the Financial Times, tweeted the news of a robot killing a human being.

Am I missing something?

Not only it's sad because someone who was just doing his job died in what looks to be a rather nasty and painful way, but those guys are so desperate to make fun of that death that they simply decide to overlook her name to make such "jokes"!

She is Sarah O'Connor, not Connor.

The "O" in her name is she trying to conceal her identity.

Being sad about that worker that died... wont help anything.

It might be abit.... crass? the word... but you have to admit,
its not everyday a Sara Connor reports about robot killings.

It can be funny (the reporting not the mans death).

Also there a new Terminator movie out soon, at first people thought this was a PR stunt.

All I see is people being very disrespectful.

When I read the topic I first thought "What has a german pop-singer to do with robots?" ...
