The only way this has an effect on the Wii is if people still believe people are buying Wii's because of its price and not because they want to PLAY the Wii.

To a lot of people, mainly hardcore gamers, it seems unimaginable that people are buying Wiis because they want to play the games on it. Its inferior hardware, it doesn't make "sense" to them that people would want the Wii over a PS3 or 360. This is why they think it must be the price. However thats just not it. People are buying the Wii to play the games for it, and nothing will change in that area unless they start shipping 360s with Wiisports.

Im very happy the price of the 360 is finally lower than the Wii in EU. We will watch things stay super strong for the Wii regardless, and we will finally be able to put this "It only sells because its cheap" bullcrap to rest, once and for all.

In America, even if the 360 was only $200, I bet the Wiis will continue to be sold out. Sure, price is a factor, but it's the unique experience that counts. People are willing to spend that extra $$ for a Wii
