I don´t see any problem with that, but I don´t see why this should be considered "huge" news, either.

Meh. Nice to have S-Rank same sex links, but it's not a big news and doesn't deserve the debate it will create. Still waiting for more (interesting) informations about the game though.

On the contrary, I feel like this was added specifically because of the influence of the Western market. The whole Tomodachi Life thing gave me the impression that there isn't a big push for this in Japan. |
I dunno, with how the US at least is with gay marriage, I'm not sure Ninten of America will be cool with this, but it'll be interesting to see what they will do with it.

Having this restricted to certain characters in a story-driven game like this isn't disappointing, it's realistic. I applaud this design choice, it shows that some thought went into it. It would be strange if every character, even the most butch womanizer, would be 'vulnerable' to getting talked into marrying someone of the same sex. Characters (other than the player character of course) are supposed to be persons with their own likes and preferences. In real life, regardless of how high his persuasion powers are, no way a guy could get me into marrying him
.

the gay peoples republic of CA is the biggest market in the US i guess, so who cares if some people in texas burn the game?
and arent those people haiting on asian things anyway?

Pretty sure we can consider the US, where same-sex marriage is legal in 36 out of 50 states, more open-minded towards the subject than Japan, where same-sex marriage is legal nowhere.

Haha, yeah, I feel the same way, though I wouldn't be surprised if NoA cuts it out as to not offend that side. I hope they don't though. I have nothing against homosexuality. Also, that part about Texas made me lol x ) It's probably true...

That is true, which is more strange as to why the Japanese version has same sex marriage in the first place, or strongly hinting at least. Though the other 14 states would be upset and loud enough for Ninten to censor it, since they like to try to please everyone....

they shouldnt try, you cant please extremists. first its same-sex mariage, than its interracial marriage and in the end they cry because something looks socialist.
