Translating 4/5 into 80% is horribly misleading IMO. I prefer to rate stuff in my head with 1-5, but stuff that get a 4 are closer to 90% on the percentage scale.

That's a very good point.

If a 1-5 gives a game a 1.5, that doesn't neccessarily mean it would have gotten a 3 on a 1-10 scale.

They go by .5, right? So 5.0 is a perfect game. The same as 10.0

Now, 4.5 is the second best score, not 9.0. 4.5 is more like 95%, and 4.0 is perhaps 87% or something.

I think all reviewers should have 4 scores only.

1 - Bad, do not buy.
2 - Average.
3 - Recommended.
4 - Awesome.

Twilight Princess, Halo, Metroid Prime 3, Uncharted, and so on, would go into nr. 3. Only a really great game would get 10 (ala what they have given MP1, OoT, SMG and Orange Box)

Nord Electro...never heard of it. But looks quite nice.

A friend used to own a Nord Modular (with keysboard) which was the most sexy thing ever. next to a original xbase, one of those damn fine kor rythm machines, a yamaha AX1 (i think) a prodigy and some other equipment. Jamming at his place was some of the funnest time ever.

actually considering getting all the new korg machines right now. they look fun.

i personally am starting to think melee > brawl
and brawl is Nintendo's halo now..
melee is faster, more advanced , and has much juice in it. brawl is nothing special tbh..

You said that you had put 500 hours into it at 3/3 2008.

If my math serves me right, that means you have played over 15 hours a day of it, for 33 days in a row. If that's not something special, how much did you play melee? 20 hours a day for 40 days?
