Forums - Gaming - Phantom Dust has no more developper, not cancelled but not being worked on

When questioned this year about the lack of appearance for Phantom Dust, Microsoft’s marketing head, Aaron Greenberg stated that the belabored game is no longer in active development but cautioned that it has not been officially cancelled, stating instead that while the game will take longer that usually to finally make its appearance, the project remains dear to many on the team and they hope to revisit it in the future.

That's why CGI bullshit announcements are bad, people shouldnt hype themselves based on a CGI trailer without gameplay ( except if that is made by Devil May Cry creator), Black Tusk spy game, FL and now this... CGI should be forbidden, it's useless now we have tech to make great cinematics in engine

So basically the game is in "Duke Nukem Forever" status.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

What's FL?

I agree with you about the CGI trailer part. They get people excited without showing us anything. It's a big lie. Gameplay or nothing.

A " Fable" game , well we thought it was when we saw that trailer( and i bet they wanted us to think it's Fable 3 sequel) , but it's not really, it's again a spin off,  only a moba F2P

are we going to see crackdown at gamescom or is that another one? there was that rumor that when the trailer released last year the game hadn't even been started or even had a developer.

Yeah you cant really do that unless you are a big known IP from a big creator, even Scalebound, it will surely be very good but no one knows what type of game this is, so people are hyped because they know it will be good but they dont even know if they will like this kind of game since we know nothing about it, maybe it's MH game that wont please those who hate this kind of game, maybe it's totally something else, maybe it's open world, we are all jon snow about this game.

And recently ReCore, even worse, we know nothing about the gameplay except it wont be open world, it's a third person game, and the ball concept( oh and there will be sand storms) and since we dont really know how good are the creators, Keiji made one excellent game recently ( Soul Sacrifice) but also one very bad ( Ninja Gaiden Z) and Armature only made port and one meh game with Batman Blackgate, so it would have been better to show the game to show we can trust them on this work

I believe Phil Spencer said in a tweet a while back that Quantum Break, Scalebound, and Crackdown will all be at Gamescom this year.

That's is what happens when the publisher keeps adding things and not increasing the budget, if the Kotaku article is to be believed.
