Forums - Nintendo - Miyamoto: games nowadays look so realistic that they all look the same

All those games that are not somewhat cartoony; hence the reason of Miyamoto for making Star Fox that way.

Well, I wouldn't put Starfox under very cartoony, so that alone brings up the question how cartoony and realistic is defined.

That's easily measurable: if Starfox Zero porn becomes illegal, then it is because it went too much realistic. If it is not; then it's cartoony!

i can understand the star fox's art style, but nintendo should at least make this game looks more like a current generation game.

Myamoto needs to shut up and get with the evolving program

There's many exceptions to that rule, specially Indy and Eastern wise. But he does have a point with "realistic" graphics, although I don't play games with that art style (if you can call it that), so I don't mind them.

Nintendo Look??

The "Nintendo look" has quite variety don´t you think? Maybe you are talking about... the MARIO look?

the fact that you had to gather pics from 3 generations of nintendo consoles to find variety in artistic style really says almost everything...

...the fact all the variety in your variety are gamecube games says the rest.

Only 1 game there is a gamecube game, the other one is an HD version of a gamecube game. So only 1/2 games out 7, close enough...

That says it all about your coment.

I was talking about the "Nintendo look" in general, but if you want to talk about only this generation here you have:

All in one single generation. They look the same RIGHT?

Well, yes. They all look cartoony.

Oh wait! I was not discussing that, I was discussing that shit about "all nintendo games look the same" just because they have freaking colors.

And even a monkey can see way more differences between cartoonish games with different artstyles than games aiming for total photorealism.

Horizon Zero Dawn have "freaking" colors and doesnt look cartoony. I think you are confused.

Nintendo games are cartoony not because of the colors.
