This really makes me want to pop in the original Gears again :)

Still the best third-person shooter I've played.

Well Halo 2 is actually the same old Xbox game with an updated presentation and new cutscenes.

I assume you meant Ratchet and Clank, that appears to be a game built from the ground up.

This Gears remaster is somewhere between. It looks like they updated the presentation and game mechanics while still using a lot of code from the original game. That happens to be a game that still holds up well.

I prefer the original, grittier version. New version is colorful and kinda ruins the atmosphere.

I really have no interest in a new gears of war game but having the last 3 on PC is going to be nice. They're great coop games I'll be able to convince my GF to play it with me.

I kinda agree.

The presentation of the first two kinda resembled a horror theme or post apocalypse.

Gears 3 became more colorful, it doesn't look bad just odd. The Halo remasters suffer from the same thing, they completely change some areas to be more colorful or add a lot of vegetation. Which changes how you feel about areas.

Man, the first Gears was a revelation for TPS. The only thing I really didn't like about it was the way the guns sound hahaha. The remaster looks great btw.
