They said the character is fixed in another interview.

I am somewhat concerned for story. A great RPG has great characters you develop connections with and a great underlying story that makes you want to push forward. The setting is great and hunting mecha-dinosaurs is geek out cool. But that does not sustain interest in a game that should be a minimum of 40 hrs for a first play through. GGs biggest challenge is going from 8-10 hr campaigns/stories to full sized RPGs. It's good that they have recognised their weakness and brought in specific talent for cover. But there is nothing yet from what we've seen or read that can assure me of the story and character quality. So I am cautiously hopeful for now.

Sounds like a healthy mix of Monster hunter and Shadow of Mordor.

Fallout new vegas writer is taking over story in this game.
Yeah the presentation of the game almost felt like a tech demo instead of a game reveal, it wasn't very meaty. Definitely interesting but it didn't give a good feel at all for how the game really plays. These are the kind of details Im interested in.
Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League
It really feels like monstre hunter, dodging, good timing, précision, tram, craft better armors by killing dinos
Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:
PS4: 17m XB1: 10m WiiU: 10m Vita: 10m

Like I said, they've recognised and addressed one of their main weaknesses. And the great thing about a FO writer is that post apocalypse is in his wheel house. But still we are in uncharted waters for GG. But one warning bell is "taking over story". That suggests story problems currently, and how much licence does the NV guy have to re-write the story? Or is he going to be expected to put lipstick on a pig and pass it off as a supermodel? It is very hard to come in half way through a project and turn a problem area into a strength. I'd rather hear about a major delay and do over than for the game to hit a 2016 release target and be as big a disappointment as The Order. And this is coming from someone who actually likes The Order, warts and all. Though in The Order's case it wasn't story that was the problem.
