Forums - Sony - Reaction: Sony Proves That PS4's Got a Stranglehold on Consoles at E3 2015

"Sony has the console market in a stranglehold with the PlayStation 4, and E3 2015 reinforced that point. There was a worry after the device's almost immaculate launch that it would rest on its laurels, but it appears that the enormous success of the system has only motivated it more – it's choking the competition out. During its big media briefing earlier in the week, the organisation didn't just check the most important corporate boxes, it put a tick in them all; from services to software to virtual reality, the manufacturer is miles ahead of the pack – it's difficult to disagree."

Agreed. Sony is in beast mode.

2015 is kind of weak in the holiday season in my opinion, but I literally don't have enough money for 2016. It's almost unfair.

The are going Rocky Marciano on the division. Dropping bombs left and right.

I personally think they're taking a giant deuce on the competition, but i know of a number of people outside of this forum that see MS as the clear winner this E3.

"it's difficult to disagree"

Oh ho ho ho, where there is a will, there is a way.

yep, sony has enough to survive the holiday season with until dawn, persona 5, dragon quest heroes and uncharted collection. If they announced a price cut, it will help more during holiday until early 2016 where we will have uncharted 4 and the new ratchet and clank. Yep ps4 has no games until 2018.

Edit: just looking at amazon, it looks like another marketing deal wasted by MS with fallout 4.

Fully agree with this article.

eh.  yeah, it would be stronger if both ratchet and uncharted didn't get delayed but for the back half of the year sony still has the tomorrow children, rime, no man's sky, uncharted collection, tearaway, GoW III remaster, until dawn, everyone's gone to the rapture, and wattam (and maybe even fat princess??).

not epic or anything but good enough for me especially knowing that ratchet, uncharted, project morpheous and maybe TLG (depending on what early 2016 mean) are all currently slated for the first 3 months of 2016.  i'll sit back and catch up on my backlog,.. pick up something from the amazingly full third party line-up,.. and be quite happy enough.  ps4 is no where near a drought even if their isn't a AAAA first party exclusive between sept and dec.

OT - i agree.  sony hasn't really held back on anything but announcements really.  it took a long time to get some of these announced but after they are announced many things are releasing within the year.  it's great really to not have to wait 3+ years for most games.
