I think Reggie's time is up. He's not a good business man anymore, or rather he doesn't know how to adapt to the times. Why in earth is he correcting someone elses apology.

He was never demoted lol... He has always been president and COO of NOA. If your going to bring up something, at the very least, make sure that your facts are correct because you just look plain silly.
OP: He definetly IS right with what he's saying in that interview. I just think that it was simply bad timing.

And just for the record, there was hype around splatoon immediately after E3. I saw people around this very Forum who have been sporting their Splatoon avis for about a year now. I don't see anyone putting the Animal Crossing board game in their sig.......let alone that other one that shall not be mentioned.

I doubt it. Nintendo has lost the casual and is now making content where the casual market is which is ios and android. For nintnedo's own hardware they will be focusing more on the core gamer who would actually buy an extra device just to play games on it. There will be a small market for content like Mario Party on NX.
I never liked Reggie. I know...*gasp* I think he's wrong for NoA. This statement of his really doesn't help his cause. You should have just let it be and let the fans think it was an apology.

Nintendo is going through their worst crisis. They and their fans need to accept the truth-that they have messed up with the Wii U. I see many people in denial as to how dire the state of Nintendo truly is. I can't wait for some to come up and say "We'll Nintendo is making money! Its all good"

no. the wii u was their try to market to the "hardcore gamer" it failed. And their "hardcore" games like Bayonetta 2, zombiu and co failed even harder, but mario, mario kart, nintendoland, smash and even mario party 10 sold well. Forget it. NX will be like wii, but even more casual.
