Iwata's message was clearly a apology, stop trying to change things up, you may be bitter with him for demoting you to COO for most surely not doing your job, specially since this will just anger more people, Iwata's words were a apology message, do not twist them, afterall breaking free of the PR puppet strings could lead to getting completely fired.

In regards to Splatoon... I remember it being well received last year... By just about everyone.

This year was a disaster. There's no way to sugarcoat that. Nintendo would just be wise to shut up at this point.

I never liked Reggie (true story, I've whined about him for nearly a decade in here), this is part of the reason why.

To me the problem is that some Nintendo fans are still living in the past. They still view a Nintendo console as the one and only gaming machine you need. And if you do that then these times can be very frustrating. But I don't care if there are gaps in the lineup. I have a wonderfull PS4 and PC and when Nintendo released must play content then I stop what I'm doing and enjoy their games.
