Kinda hard to tell at this point.

Assuming Nintendo pushes just as hard as Splatoon on Wii U, then possibly.

It has that potential of course. The first one will sell over 2m, if NX its a succesfull console then it could easily sell more than 5m.

Depends pretty much completely on how well the NX is received.

I think we need to wait and see if it actually has legs in North America and Europe too. It definitely is showing signs in Japan, but the US and Euro markets are very different and much more fixated on military or sci-fi shooters and that could hurt Splatoon here. It had a decent start here, but it should have sold a little more I think because there are more Wii Us in the US than in Japan but that wasn't the case, so that would seem to indicate it could be bigger in Japan than the West.

Woah woah, Splatoon hasn't even hit a mil yet, and who knows what the LTS will be. I think we should wait for those number before making a bold claim like that.

Either way, I'm going with no. I don't expect the sequel to spike that much...

We already know the 80% of Splatoon sales ( US, UK, JP, FRA ) and we know the game will EASY sell more than 2,000,000... Let's say 3,000,000.

So, we already can image what can be the next game...
