It likely means that the only Wii U projects left are the ones that are in active development right now.
New projects starting at Nintendo today or recently are going to be for the NX going forward.
Even for people who say "it won't launch till 2017!", well ok, but you do realize games don't magically make themselves overnight right?
Even to launch in 2017, they have to start making games right now, we're already half way through 2015 and factoring in 5-10 extra months of development time needed to get to grips with new hardware too.
Wii U will not be getting a Metroid game it looks like, Animal Crossing (a real one) is likely out too, and so is the next 3D Mario. Those are all going NX most likely.
