Forums - Gaming - nintendo is not giving up on the Wii u

The problem was that they announced most Wii U games too early, because the thing wasn't (and is still not) selling well. Remeber that megadirect like 2 years ago, in januari I think? They made too much announcements right there. They should just have not mentioned that FE crossover game, or Star Fox last year and reaction would have been be a lot better.

Therefore just there wasn't enough new info left. If they'd announced other Wii U titles for later on in 2016, they wouldn't have anything left to announce for the rest of the year. I also don't think they have completely given up on Wii U yet. The second half of 2015 looks good, with a mix of some big games like XBX, Star Fox and Super Mario Maker, maybe even Yoshi, and supporting titles like Fatal Frame, Devils Third and Mario Tennis. (and that AC party game was a big disapointment but will likely do well in Japan for some reason)

What's with all these underwhelming game announcements?

We get things like an Animal Crossing board game that no one asked for, and we don't even see the new trailer for Fatal Frame during the direct.

Some things are kind of starting to be signs that the Wii U is already starting to slow down.

Sounds like Nintendo is the new Square Enix, please be excited!

iwata needs to go. he is dragging this company into the ground and he has no idea what he is doing. iwata, myamoto and riggie all need to get sacked, and they should bring a new CEO from oversea's that actually knows what to do.

i keep hearing that nintendo has a lot of talent, well isnt it a shame that its being wasted on mario tennis, project robot and project guard?

You need to stop talking about throwing out the 3 greats of Nintendo.

Given the descisions made at Nintendo RED. They gave us quite a lot for the Wii U. You know the board of directors has quite a lot to say at Nintendo. Reggie, Miyamoto and Iwata aren't all powerful.

If you want things changed at Nintendo your way. Buy stock and get ignored because Japanese companies don't give a sh*t about their shareholders.

Absolutely. the only problem was lack of more 2016 titles but their 2015 lineup is good. people just like to turn any negative nintendo news into doom and gloom.

I would love to agree, but what other reason was there for mentioning the NX?

He'll be around. After the mobile announcement, they are pretty much golden. Nintendo has their fingers in too many pies now to be considered in a vulnerable state. You're just thinking of home consoles and Nintendo is far more than that now.

Nintendo showed only 2 new Wiiu games at E3, one of them being that bullshit Animal Crossing Amiibo game and the other being Mario Tennis. Nintendo also didn't show any early 2016 WiiU games. Instead they spent like 10 minutes on Star Fox, 5 minutes on Yoshi and another 5 or 6 minutes on Mario Maker. I'm surprised they didn't spend 5 minutes on Devil's Third as well.

Hey, it's not about who won or lost E3. The real winner is the gamers! So what if Nintendo didn't have the best showing! We should buy all of the consoles and just be happy to be alive!
