Forums - Gaming - nintendo is not giving up on the Wii u

i honestly cannot believe that you Nintendo guys are so up in arms about this digital event. Yes, it was a bit underwhelming, but this IN NO FUCKING WAY indicates that Nintendo is "giving up" on the Wii U or that NX (whatever the hell that is) is launching next year.

I'm just completely in shock the reaction that Nintendo fans are having about this. They limited the event to games coming out this year, which includes Star Fox (hallelujah!), xenoblade (a true next generation title), Yoshi (this game is going to be dope as Fuck), and super mario maker which is also going to be amazing. these are all great games and I fail to see how this indicates that they are giving up on the Wii U.

now I'll be the first to say that the Metroid Soccer game is a fucking abomination straight from the depths of hell. Like I've said in the past, and some of you may remember, nintendo always skips metroid every third console, so we shouldnt be surprised if Samus doesn't make an appearance here, but that doesn't mean we should just lose all hope. But the main point is that It is incredibly short sighted to think any of this is an indication of Nintendo abandoning ship.

Nintendo showed only 2 new Wiiu games at E3, one of them being that bullshit Animal Crossing Amiibo game and the other being Mario Tennis. Nintendo also didn't show any early 2016 WiiU games. Instead they spent like 10 minutes on Star Fox, 5 minutes on Yoshi and another 5 or 6 minutes on Mario Maker. I'm surprised they didn't spend 5 minutes on Devil's Third as well.

iwata needs to go. he is dragging this company into the ground and he has no idea what he is doing. iwata, myamoto and riggie all need to get sacked, and they should bring a new CEO from oversea's that actually knows what to do.

i keep hearing that nintendo has a lot of talent, well isnt it a shame that its being wasted on mario tennis, project robot and project guard?

It's like people just ignored the Mario Tennis Megaton.

Idk, miyamoto is a genius and all ,but hes losing his own game, Reggie is too much of an icon to go, but maybe somenoe else should take his place. masahiro sakurai should be the new President of Nintendo

he used to be. nothing genius about project gaint robot.

riggie is just a figure, he needs to be sacked, and he isnt that really important, his direction and vision for nintendo are fucked up, obviously.

again, they need new blood, somebody from out side the company. bring a CEO from oversea's, one that isnt a part of what nintendo is today.

I think the main issue is the lack of new games they showed at the event. Yeah, we still have great games coming, but something new and big would have been nice... Perhaps some of us are let down after what a big show Sony put up. Some of use may have hoped for more, rather than a big recap.

What's with all these underwhelming game announcements?

We get things like an Animal Crossing board game that no one asked for, and we don't even see the new trailer for Fatal Frame during the direct.

Some things are kind of starting to be signs that the Wii U is already starting to slow down.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Bananaking aint pulling no punches, and I agree with everything he is saying.

Idk, i dont want Nintendo to turn out like xbox or something, i still want them to be unique, just some decision making like this years E3 was horrible
