The moment Obama finds out that Pastor Wright is spreading inflammatory remarks, he apologizes and rejects it immediately."

You people make me sick. You just can't admit it's your own personal preference for X. You have lie and exaggerate to make Y sound even worse.

Exactly, or else we wouldn't even have a thread with people actually believing that Obama is controlled by his pastor.

Or you lying that the posts here claim Obama is controlled by that guy, when the words used are that Obama is ASSOCIATING with him.

Why is it reverse discrimination, it's against white people which means it is discrimination because it is discrimination because of race.

Also WTF does this guy mean rich white people run society and don't get abuse. I'm white, I'm from a very rich family and I am very privileged, but at uni I live in a predominately black area and when I sit on the bus I very often have names like milky, cracker and whitey shouted at me. My mate got beat up for being white once.

Also he is basing all of his facts on incorrect data (romans being white) and the bulls**t stories from the bible, this guy needs a reality check.

Yeah... I gotta agree. I mean... i'd guess if he went to church he's likely heard his pastor say those same things before.

Both are pretty horrible but inconsequential. Who hasn't assosiated with a bigot of some sort?

I bet everyone knows someone who is a bigot, and most are probably even friends with people who have some sort of intolerance towards a race despite disagreeing with them on that issue, because they're a relative or aside from that a nice person etc.

As for it being his preacher... what are we going to not elect Catholics again because we'll be afraid the Pope is going to own the country? Are we going back down that road? Kennedy's preacher no doubt talked about being pro-life, but all it took was a few words from Kennedy promising he'd be Pro-choice in his presidency even if the pope told him otherwise, and that it was the same with all matters, and it was all good.

If you disagree, keep in mind an overwhelming percentage of the country is against gay marriage. Which just about everyone who is for gay marriage would consider bigoted.

Even if Clinton and Obama were racists it wouldn't show up in poltics. It just wouldn't make sense.

It didn't show up in Bill's run... Bill is one of the most popular presidents among black people. Chris Rock once joked that Black people love Bill Clinton because he was black. (Ironically, his family history suggests he probably had a black ancestor which would of eliminated him as white under the strictest racist purity laws. Jimmy Carter too i believe they're related. Though thats off topic and really immatieral, just interesting.)

As for Obama... what's the worst that could happen? More Affirmitive Action instead of targeting all of the poor? Taking away some really rich peoples tax breaks?

The first part seems counter to his stated plans, which would hurt him if he wanted a second term, which almost all presidents do... and the latter is something any democrat is going to do anyway.

Also i believe George Bush and Bill Clinton are related by blood as well and are cousins of some sort. So if you want to talk about the "Bush family" dynasty, it's really kinda been non-stop since George Bush Senior.

If you think that's bad you should see how many presidents FDR is related to.

Obama also apparently is related to a figure in the current whitehouse....

Dick Cheney... and I guess also Bush.  So oddly the only way to get out of the "Bush Dynasty" is to elect John Mccain.  I know I didn't see that one coming!

Do you actually think that's going to work? It isn't. It's just gonna get you labeled like the "Leave Britney alone!" guy.

It's not working "with". Wasn't it clear the comment was that telling people to leave Obama alone isn't going to make them do so?

Where do I start. Well I start by saying that if you don't agree with my following statements then don't bother replying to my two cents because most likely I won't value your opinion. First yes there are black racists, next this thread is typical nonsense and spin. MLK, mx, sharpton, etc. Anytime someone black states some truth about race issues they're considered racist or causing racism. Of course that's absolutely ridiculous to me and I ususally find that people who say that are ignorant or racist themselves. A few things he said was obvious but didn't really need to be said but I don't know where the black jesus stuff comes from. Jesus was jewish and his color really doesn't matter anyway. Jesus lived in a country full of rich white people lol. I can't even respond to that. I have mixed feelings about the pulpit and politics. Maybe bring up issues we care about but as for praising one candidate over the other maybe stay away from that. Yes there will be people who hate barack because he black but hate isn't limited to color so none of this really needed to be said. We know racism exist but stick to preaching about what jesus focused on and the teachings of the bible I say.

According to Dr. Wright, black liberation theology includes some of these statements (from his website) and my reactions to them...

"We [African Americans] were always seen as objects. When we started defining ourselves, it scared those who try to control others by naming them and defining them for them; Oppressors do not like “others” defining themselves."

Seen by who?  Who is oppressing?  I am white(and maybe considered privelaged) and I am not oppressing anybody, but the sermons say all white people are.  I owned a business and I never discriminated in hiring or promoted.

"African-centered thought, unlike Eurocentrism, does not assume superiority and look at everyone else as being inferior. "

So Eurocentrism churches teach superiority.  That is very enlightened. (sarcasm)

If any of these statements or statements from the video were reversed to be a white person speaking of black people would it be alright then.  Why is "black power" alright to encourage and proclaim?

No race is any better or worse than any race.

No race or geographically centered teaching system is inherently better or worse than any other just because of who is involved.

If you think or support the idea that any race is better than anyother race then you are a racist.

(The man also believes that HIV was invented by the government to kill black people. )

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
