The moment Obama finds out that Pastor Wright is spreading inflammatory remarks, he apologizes and rejects it immediately."
You people make me sick. You just can't admit it's your own personal preference for X. You have lie and exaggerate to make Y sound even worse. |
Yeah... I gotta agree. I mean... i'd guess if he went to church he's likely heard his pastor say those same things before.
Both are pretty horrible but inconsequential. Who hasn't assosiated with a bigot of some sort?
I bet everyone knows someone who is a bigot, and most are probably even friends with people who have some sort of intolerance towards a race despite disagreeing with them on that issue, because they're a relative or aside from that a nice person etc.
As for it being his preacher... what are we going to not elect Catholics again because we'll be afraid the Pope is going to own the country? Are we going back down that road? Kennedy's preacher no doubt talked about being pro-life, but all it took was a few words from Kennedy promising he'd be Pro-choice in his presidency even if the pope told him otherwise, and that it was the same with all matters, and it was all good.
If you disagree, keep in mind an overwhelming percentage of the country is against gay marriage. Which just about everyone who is for gay marriage would consider bigoted.
Even if Clinton and Obama were racists it wouldn't show up in poltics. It just wouldn't make sense.
It didn't show up in Bill's run... Bill is one of the most popular presidents among black people. Chris Rock once joked that Black people love Bill Clinton because he was black. (Ironically, his family history suggests he probably had a black ancestor which would of eliminated him as white under the strictest racist purity laws. Jimmy Carter too i believe they're related. Though thats off topic and really immatieral, just interesting.)
As for Obama... what's the worst that could happen? More Affirmitive Action instead of targeting all of the poor? Taking away some really rich peoples tax breaks?
The first part seems counter to his stated plans, which would hurt him if he wanted a second term, which almost all presidents do... and the latter is something any democrat is going to do anyway.
