Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Halo 5: Is it still a big deal?

Is Halo 5 still a big deal for you?

Extremely! Halo is still the FPS King! 13 33.33%

Still a pretty big deal 9 23.08%

Meh, not really anymore 9 23.08%

Not at all for me. 7 17.95%

Screw Halo, I want Gears! 1 2.56%

Total:39

There hasn't seem to be much talk about this and was curious to know if there are many of you still excited for this?

Personally,  I don't feel as excited for this as I was with Halo 4 pre-launch, and the gameplay looks pretty generic from what I saw.

I'm excited for the game, but I think they didn't really show off a good piece of the game. It was like they took a setpiece at the beginning of the game. Halo 4 was very good, so I still have high hopes.

It's still definitely a title to look out for.

It probably just got overshadowed by all this other stuff, incluing Sony's megaton announcements.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

343 is the best for story and it looks like they have delivered again. Loved how you could issue your team orders. They where trying to track down Master Chief and got confronted by what looks to be a Promethean? Overall its my 2nd best game I saw next to Horizon. Day 1

Asking if a Halo game is a big deal on these forums is like asking a hooker if she loves you after you pay her...

Game sales will speak for themselves and reveal if its a big deal or not when it comes out. Could go either way really.

Yes, it's a very big deal. It will be one of the best selling games this gen.

The campaign itself is enough for me to buy the game. My hope is that the multiplayer has some longevity to it. Halo 4 quickly lost it's multiplayer community.

Current gaming platforms - Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, New 3DS, PC

Halo is always a big deal.

I wouldn't mind 343 trying something new as long as the classic aspects of the campaign remains untouched. What we saw yesterday looked anything but promising in that regard, which is a shame since Halo 4's campaign brought the series back to its Halo: CE roots.

Also, the prometheans have overstayed their welcome at this point. They won't be interesting for another game.

That really depends on how they fill in their role. We're still fighting the Covenant and we fought the Flood for 4 games.
