Money can't accelerate the process, it just makes the process start in this case. But I guess i would have thrown money at my screen a few years ago if it could bring FFVersusXIII faster

How much is the Shenmue total? Like $2 million? Wouldn't that be penny's to Sony? It's an odd situation indeed.

The other thread made good points on why it is being crowdfunded, and it sort of makes sense

I'm not interested in the game, but I hope it does eventually get released for all the fans.

It's an interesting concept. For games that would probably never see a revival, this is a good way to gauge the interest for another sequel.
