I want to know what are the main decisions that influenced you in making your choice. Was it games? Friends influenced you in your console choice? What is the better online gaming experience? How much better does the PS3 and XBox 360 look on HDTV compared to standard TV?
Please give me feedback in this thread that I have created.
really, for me, it's Final Fantasy and non-FPS centric plan.
JRPG + SquareEnix is my thing.

If you want blu-ray, get a PS3. If you're not bothered, a 360.

well....since they had a major title out first and were lots cheaper i went with the xbox
but since Blu Ray has won the format war i will probably talk the wife into getting a Ps3 when they get down below the 300 mark

Important question for me, because I'm still undecided. I'm a big Resident Evil fan, so I must buy one of them (and I don't have enough time to have 3 consoles) when RE5 comes out.
Exclusive games is the single most important factor in this decision.
I'm very much leaning towards 360 at this moment, but I'm a big RPG fan, and FF13 seems to become very good.
But like I sad, I'm a very big RPG fan and 360 has the best ones at this moment.

Lost Odyssee

Gears of War
Mass Effect

Looks like a no brainer towards 360, but hey... it's Final Fantasy we're talking about.

PS3 > 360 even without the BR.
Better (non-FPS) games, more reliable, better value for money, no online fees (MS sucks, why can't I play a non-MS game online without having to pay MS???? WTF???)... actually I wonder why would anyone buy a 360 unless you really want to play Halo or Gears of War?
I heard that XBox 360, every second game is a shooter.
PS3 provides more variety has a lot of games available and some excellent games are on the way.

Why do you include some shooters on the 360 list and not on the PS3?
Also, it seems you're not interested in playing MGS4, GT5, LittleBigPlannet or Resistance 2 :( They should all be great games, totally worth playing. Probably the 4 top games of 2008 ;)
