Forums - Nintendo - I just got Smash Bros Wii U

So, there was a big discount on smash bros and i got the game for 25€ today.

I never played any other smash title before and i just feel abit lost know. There is no tutorial or anything i guess.

I did some fights and managed to beat cpus lvl 7-8. Playing with samus aran at the moment. I dont really know what to do ;D Where should i start? Any advice?

just doing 1 on 1 got boring after 1 hour.

My biggest problem is to fall of the stage though, thats like 90% of my deaths. Any advice here?

when in mid-air you can jump again. double-jump they called it.  and the command list is part of the booklet, i believe you can pause and navigate into that list as well. i'm also new to the Smash series but veteran smash players know the in and outs of the game more.

in the title screen, just wait a few seconds. The tutorial will start

There's a how to play video that gives you a basic idea of how to play the game, as well as a training mode in single player, which allows you to mess around with a character.

As for dying from falling, remember that you can double jump, and every characer has a recovery move which is done by pressing up+special.

If you think Smash is boring, that's fin, but give it another go if you can, cause Smash can be really fun, especially with friends.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Advice - Get friends.

Seriously, you'll never 'get' Smash playing by yourself.

Use your up B as a surregate "triple" jump. Every character has one. Some are bad, some are too good, but all are more useful than not having one at all.

Also, a few characters have more than two jumps.

Yay! :)
