What's the point of this crossover?

I mean sure Star Wars is very popular, Marvel as well.

Financially, Disney would have to shell out quite a substantial budget for it.

The movie might guarantee them at least $1 Billion returns, but if they make 2 separate movies, they are still pretty much guaranteed two $1 billion movies as well.

Both SW and MCU universe are already pretty big on their own. There's no point for either to invade on each other.

If it comes down to benefiting out of a possible crossover, you got to keep in mind that there are Star Wars spin-offs already in the works. I guess new characters could benefit from more exposure, business-wise.

No. This is a really bad idea. And I don't see the point. How would that even make any sense timeline wise.

I personally wouldn't want to see that.

Wolverine with lightsaber claws would be epic.

I am going to grab some popcorn and wait for the explanation on how lightsaber/plasma bones don't desintagrate every bit of tissue from Logan's body.

Considering its Disney, they'll find some crazy way to explain it.

Possibly, they'll explain it with a song.

I don't think it would work as the 'mini reality' that each one makes only works for itself. In Star Wars your have 'the force' in Xmen you have mutants (and some magic.) When you cross over and mix too much it just becomes silly.

But honestly, I don't expect much from the new Star Wars films. The first one (IV) was great, and the world, but I think they should have chosen a better director like Jackson, Alfonso Cauron, Ang Lee or even Uwe Boll.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.
