Forums - Sony - The Guardian has it on “good authority” that The Last Guardian will be at E3

This is the last E3 that I will look for the Last Guardian.

I cry everytiem

I have it on good authority that reports based on good authority are nothing more than unsubstantiated rumours and to viewed with skepticism. I hope they are right, but I won't be surprised or disappointed if they are wrong.

But worse still would be a Last Guardian that went through a transformation akin to Sorcery between is Move demo and the final product.

I assume it's been posted but one guy from JAW (Oddworld devs) said Mark cerny's team is helping finish the game

The Last Knack
As long as it's only the technical part..

Rumour is that Mark Cerny's team are finishing the Last Guardian.

The PS5 Exists.

At this point I think the important question is, would it matter in any way, beyond the forums?

I mean it will be exciting for the small portion of gamers that played ico and SotC (those that aren't completely disillusioned by the wait). But for anyone else? For console sales? Hard to see it making a difference.

Add to that...its truly hard to imagine a game that was revealed in 2009 as being much chop if you see nothing until 2015.

The important question is why would it matter if it matters? People want to play the game, if it sells consoles or not is irrelevant and something Sony should think about, not us.

Fits snugly into the Megaton category.

And it's got to be the game were they go: "That's it for today, thank you. Oh one more thing " *Trailer rolls. Massive cheers in the audience.

I think you've tripped and wandered into a sales forum...

Sales. Not console sales, or console war sales. Just sales. That includes videogame sales. Like...how much one game sells, y'know?

To expand on that..

1. Platform sales matter because they generally determine software support to an extent, specially from non-first-parties

2. Videogame sales matter because they determine the viability of future, similar projects, as well as the future of the IP, and the people who worked on the game.

Given the current situation, I'd say only nº 2 matters. nº1 is done and done. Sony/PS4 already got it. The PS4 will keep selling whether TLG comes or not.
