Never read the books therefor do not care.
Past two episodes have been some of the best in the entire series.

I'm a big fan of the books, and think the show has been really good, different, but good. This season has been losing me though, as I'm finding some of the content very disturbing, and not in the source material. Although, I've heard what happeneed to Shireen came from G.R.R.M himself, so it will be interesting to see how it plays out in the books.
Screw the books. The show and books are completely different animals, and basing your enjoyment of the show on how much of the book content is directly ported over is silly.

Thank you for saying this. GRR Martin himself has repeatedly said that the show and his books are two very different beasts.
The show has jumped the shark this season. It's clear that it's nothing but shock value now. Any attempt at subtlety is gone. I'm probably done watching after this season.
Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Well, this is kinda true. I do feel this season they increased the "shocking" moments tenfold and thus they lost much of their power.

yea, that definitely looked wrong

I don't get why "it's silly". If you know an awesome story, with great characters in a huge world, and see an adaptation butchering a lot of what you liked, it's not silly to be disappointed. For me, the problem is not that the show is different from the books, it's that the last season is bad compared to the books. So I'm disappointed in season 5, even if I liked the previous seasons and their changes.
And even about the differences, we've seen a lot of "debates" for other adaptations like LOTR or the terrible Eragon, based on their differences with the books. Imagine an Harry Potter adaptation as different from the source material as GoT. It would be a huge sh*tstorm on the Internet...
I just want to say that this is more about the producers working with the limited material they have and how much they can say, rather than their lack of planning.
Would the show have been better had it started production a couple years later? For sure. But this is also because Martin did not pull his shit together and started working.
