Forums - Microsoft - Heroes of the Storm coming to Xbox One? Blizzard jokes about it but something is cooking.

We report a passage very particular, contained inside the recently published by the Special Multiplayer.it of Heroes of the Storm, which refers to a possible version Xbox One of the game.

I don't think consoles have the audience for Moba games. It would be nice but probably wont be very successful. Blizzard just needs to focus on PC games as that's there pride and joy. Its not like everyone cant play there games, there not really demanding and most PCs can run them anyway. Guess will wait and see.

It doesn't have the audience because we haven't had Mobas on console yet. I agree with the last part of your comment though. Blizzards main focus is pc and should stay that way

Ltd predictions by the time 9th Gen comes out

Ps4:110million

Xbox one :75 million( was 65)

Wii u: 20 milliion

Interesting, MS trying to corner the MOBA market on consoles with Smite and now Heroes of the Storm. Of course both of these MOBAs are fairly minor compared to LoL and DOTA and so they are looking for ways to increase exposure and popularity. However Heroes of the Storm is seen as a bit of a "my first MOBA" being much simpolified compared to LoL and DOTA. And I doubt any serious Smite players will move to console because being a fast twitch TPS-like format the responsiveness and accuracy of controllers is just not the same as KB+M.

If Smite ever came to PS4 (which I think if Hi Rez really wanted to increase awareness and player base via consoles, especially in Asia and Europe, they really ought to release it on PS4) I would still play it on my PC even though I would no doubt get better visuals on PS4 given my PC specs are lower than my PS4 specs. I don't see MOBAs as games where visuals are important.

Multiplayer.it is the worst italian videogame website, very unprofessional when it comes to writing news. I would take these speculations with a grain of salt.

Judging by Diablo III, blizzard wouldn't make it  exclusive - our even timed. Even when they refused to admit the 360 and later the xb1 versions, they still made them; they even delayed ROS because Microsoft was being dicks.

Also, d3 sold drastically better on ps4 and the install base would be to enticing for them to skip.

I can only believe we will hear more, and more of these rumors as Windows 10 gets integrated into the X1.

Since one of there major selling points is cross platform functionality with PC, along with quicker coding/porting times (remember Shovel Knight being ported in a day) people are going to naturally feel that it is a easy way for developers to increase initial sales while also giving a game longer legs.

I'm not into MOBA's, but diversity is the spice of life. I still won't play them even on a console, but maybe some people that only play console might. good for them

I don't really see it happening, just because D3 released on consoles doesn't automatically mean HotS will or anything else, WoW still isn't on consoles despite it using a really old engine, the FF MMO is on consoles and yet still WoW isn't and neither is Starcraft II or Hearthstone and the upcoming Overwatch (Which like when TF2 was released on consoles didn't do well at all compared to PC). I just don't see Mobas doing as well on consoles as they are on PC, hell people on here looked down on MOba's and took the piss when it was shown that PC gaming made more revenue based on part of the Moba genre.

Really Blizz should just keep it as is and try refining it than simply making a game and letting it fall apart across multiple platforms or let content go ahead with one sstem and not the rest where you cause a bigger split.
