Thanks for the update and filling in the other numbers. Congrats on beating 2014. I guess 2013 is out of reach but anyway the numbers this week are really good.
Yes, beating 2013 is pretty much impossible now. But all things considered, it's holding up more than pretty well considering no big holiday title. Splatoon and Mario Maker are really making a difference there, just imagint if these would have been launch titles...
So it should be able to hold against 2014, but I don't see it beating 2013, unfortunately

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]
This could have been the WiiU peak year, if they had a proper holyday lineup. As it stands, it's not going to beat 2013 and I'm sceptical that 2016 will either.

It's already past what 2014 achieved in total sales.

2015 also lost a huge amount of sales early this year and basically had to play catch-up throughout summer and fall. If this hadn't be the case then it would have been on top already.
Which makes 2016 pretty interesting, as it starts much stronger than previous years with TPHD, Pokkén Tournament, Starfox Zero, Mario & Sonic at the olympic games Rio 2016 Mario Tennis Ultra Smash (only gets released end of January in Japan), all coming out before end of april and inheriting the increased baseline from Splatoon/SMM this year. So at the very least until the Splatoon launchdate 2016 should outdo 2015 by a country mile and then some. What will happen after that is the big question

Yes and That's something a lot of People on this forum are ignoring right now. This could be its strongest Q1 or second strongest Q1 in History.
