2015 also lost a huge amount of sales early this year and basically had to play catch-up throughout summer and fall. If this hadn't be the case then it would have been on top already.

Which makes 2016 pretty interesting, as it starts much stronger than previous years with TPHD, Pokkén Tournament, Starfox Zero, Mario & Sonic at the olympic games Rio 2016 Mario Tennis Ultra Smash (only gets released end of January in Japan), all coming out before end of april and inheriting the increased baseline from Splatoon/SMM this year. So at the very least until the Splatoon launchdate 2016 should outdo 2015 by a country mile and then some. What will happen after that is the big question
