Last third party Wii commercial I saw was Nights by Sega and before that, Mario & Sonic Olympics and before that, Sonic and the Seven Rings. Seems Sega is the only developer putting any real money into advertising its products on the Wii.

Third parties do need to step up their adverising if they want to sell but I wouldnt mind seeing some commercials by Nintendo in the vein of the old 360 ads where the console was made out of every game available, or even the recent PS3 ads where they show quick snippets of gameplay.

I see commercials all the time on Saturdays during cartoons. Usually it's for the kid-oriented games though. I remember specifically an Alvin and the Chipmunks commercial. That's for the Wii right?

I remember before Nintendo of America saying that they were cutting back advertising because the system was selling out anyhow, so I guess they didn't want to make people upset by seeing commercials all the time, but then not being able to get the system. I'm sure it also certainly saves them a bit of money. Here in Japan I see commercials fairly often. Not always for particularly new games, but I see things like the Naruto games for the Wii and DS pretty often. Including about an hour ago.

I only saw two TV commercial of third-party wii games:
Red Steel and MySims

On TV? I watch it very little nowadays, and the only game commercials I can recall seeing are Gears of War, Uncharted, and Halo 3. Of course Finland isn't the biggest country to advertise stuff in. =P

There are third party games on the Wii? I have not seen much news about them most I hear about are first party Nintendo games. Traditionally third party games do not sell well on Nintendo consoles. Both N64 and GameCube = brilliant First Party Nintendo games available. Third party games = null and void.

I haven't actually seen one, see some for DS though. I hardly watch tv nowadays though.
