Forums - Gaming - WiiU have over 60% HOME console marketshare

Once the console gets more big games that are next gen exclusive besides Bloodborne, Japan will quickly fall to the PS4.

It's impressive the PS4 sold as much as it has with practically nothing to offer, and charging a yearlly fee on top of that big pile of nothing to play online.

I'm impressed with the amount of ignorance here. ps4 had a stream of big releases early in the year and benefited a lot from it but now sales are low as normal. it is still 3 or 4 months away from reaching 1.6 million after 1 year and 6/7 months on the market vs wii u that reached that number in 13 months. people also ignore the boosts wii u will get for its big titles and holiday sales. It will take a miracle for ps4 to surpass wii u sales in japan but if it does, the final numbers will be very close.

Its not a miracle ifit would happen

if outside of boosted weeks it can only sell 5k more without even considering the biggest selling weeks + holidays of wii u, than it will take a miracle.

Not really, the ps4 sold 50k while wiiu sold 6k alot of times just some weeks prior.

Why am I not surprised, ever since the 50% the other side is now on the attack even though Wii has been discontinued and hardly anyone is buying it, it's like kicking an already dead beaten horse to the curb while shouting to everyone around you that you're kicking it.

I honestly don't think the Wii U is going to pick up as much Steam but I also don't see PS4 taking everything over there in a flash like some would believe.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Like what others have said, the PS4 will probably catch up soon

That may happen only if ps4 hardwrae sales change, since even with its best ratio of 11,000 units per week and wii u 6000 per week and of course accounting the ups and downs of the sales per week, then it could actually take some years for that to happen,  probably between 2 and 3 years

I always love these hair splitting slices of data. Bonus points for the deliberately vague title, too--I had to see what kind of spin justified such a claim for myself, LOL.

Hope it is almost on the level for a NPD PR announcement.

"WiiU keep pushing forward with great marketshare and utter dominance over it's competitors. outselling the gaijins by 60:1".

The goofy ass PR responses when a platform doesn't sell well are what I first thought of, LOL.

Have some time to kill? Read my shitty games blog. http://www.pixlbit.com/blogs/586/gigantor21

:D

PS4 will eventually overtake it, but I actually think Wii U will do fine in Japan and won't be far behind PS4 at the end.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won
