So its a class based shooter and Nintendo couldn't be bothered to balance an even smaller pools of primary weapons, perks and subweapons restrictive to each class. Sorry dude I choose to have more faith in nintendo than that.

I don't follow. They are very well-balanced. Furthermore, in TF2 any given weapon can only be used by a single class, whereas in Splatoon most (if not all) subweapons and specials can be used by any class, just not with any primary weapon. So, for instance, if you like suction bombs and rollers, you can get a set that has those. Or you can use suction bombs with a charger, or with a shooter. Subweapons and specials are not "restrictive to each class" like you said.
You didn't really address the comparison I brought up. You're thinking of Splatoon like Halo or COD where you can customize your loadout, when it is more like TF2 where you choose from a limited pool of loadouts depending on which 'class' you pick. It is not perfectly analogous to any of these other series because Nintendo made their own game, but it has more in common with class-based shooters which do tend to restrict your loadout options. Since this is par for the course with these kinds of games, I see no reason to take issue with it.
