That was a good read! Happy to hear you liked the story, some reviewers didn't seem to appreciate it much.

3 and a half hours here but I start work in 8 - decisions need to be made 

Oh no? That's surprising. I think it's the most interesting story of the series. I imagine Fergusson picked up some tips from Levine when he was working on BioShock Infinite.

Be warned, though: the game starts slowly as it introduces new characters and explains the last 25 years of life on Sera. It makes for a frustrating opening act. But I will say that a lot of the set up in act I gets big payoffs at the end.

Got my Gears 4 XB1 today! I already had 6 games for it, but decided to download and play Maldita Castilla Ex: Cursed Castile first. I'm a big Ghosts`n Goblins fans, so this was a must

They don't like the story because it's different but at the same time the game is too similar to Gears 1-3? :P

I think 85 is damn good and I'm glad about it scoring well. 85 score or 95 score, I don't usually see much difference in game's quality. You know it's a good game, rest is just personal preference. There's so much Gears offers, some are crazy about campaing, some are versus fans and others play countless hours of horde so opinions vary depending what you're focusing on. 

Gears of War 3 got a meta over 90 and even I think it had a bit weak story. Some games simply get away with something other games don't. Hell, even Inside got a metascore over 90 and I didn't enjoy it at all..

Thanks! I have Sunset Overdrive, Gears Of War Ultimate Edition, Dead Rising 3, Rare Replay, Quantum Break, Ryse: Son Of Rome and now Gears Of War 4. I have my hands full for a while

Oh, I also have Dead Island Definitive Edition. Forgot about that one for some reason...

You gonna get halo 5 and MCC at some point? Or not a halo fan?
