Yes, Rise of Iron is the last planned expansion for Destiny. Destiny 2 will more than likely be next year (probably Septmber)

During a showcase event preceding Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, Xbox Games Marketing Head Aaron Greenberg gave more information how how well the new Xbox One S is selling.

Greenberg mentioned that Microsoft “couldn’t be more pleased” and is “overwhelmed” by the response to the launch of the console. The week in which the Xbox One S launched in UK, it was the best selling console in the country, and is now fully sold out locally.

He also added that a similar reaction is being seen around the world, and it’s “largely” sold out in Germany. The company is now focusing on producing more units and on getting them on the market as soon as possible.

Greenberg concluded by mentioning that “it’s truly awesome to have a hot product and see so much demand.”
