Forums - Sony - PlayStation E3 Experience Tickets Sold Out In 53 Theaters Of 68 In US, Fully Gone in Canada

Sony made tickets available for the PlayStation E3 experience 2015 on May 27th, just four days ago, and now that we’re at the end of the week, it’s time to check out the situation.

Of 68 theaters in the United States, 53 have already run out of tickets, with just 15 that have any seating still available. If you’re in Canada, and you still did not get your ticket, you’re out of luck. The three Canadian theaters selected for the event are fully out tickets.

At least this year tickets did not evaporate nearly instantly like last year, even thanks to the fact that there are way more theaters available.

If you still want to reserve a last-minute ticket, below you can find the list of theaters that still have availability (listed by page in the booking site, so you can find them easily). If theaters close to your location have no availability, 20% of each place’s capacity will be held for those on the waiting list, which will be admitted on a first come, first series basis (basically, expect lines).

I don't understand why people want to see this in theaters.

this is such a good idea from a marketing perspective, you literally have people lining up to see your commercials and all of them getting hyped about it.

Social aspect? Get out of home, talk with people about the same subject, etc.

You can watch movies on the internet too but most of us prefer to go to the cinema... it is the same thing.

You know, I love E3 as much as the next gamer, but anyone who spends money to go see it at a theatre......NERD!

Meh, to each their own.

Honestly this would be amazing and terrible at the same time.
On one side you get the feeling of being at the confrence with the amazing crowd reactions and social aspect but on the other you have to deal with other potentially annoying people rather then being all snuggled up in a blanket in the comfort of your home.
Likely I will be at work anyway so I will just watch them on delay
