Don't know about best overall, but best on Gamecube was REmake.

Resident Evil 4!!
Starfox Adventures was pretty nice, too (at least technically). Star Wars Rogue Leader / Rebel Strike also looked great, but to be honest, there just wasn't too much to show, besides the ships... Nonetheless there wasn't anything more stunning than attacking a Star Destroyer in front of some beautiful planet!

I'm still gonna stick with Hitman: Blood Money (Ps2) as the best graphics last gen, but I'll probably snag me a used copy of RE4 (GC version) to see how much better it is than Ps2. I've got a GameCube laying around somewhere in this damn house, just need to find it.

 I have RE4 for the Wii, and God of War 2 is better then that. I don't think the Wii was improved over the GC, but I am sure it's not worse.

Just out of curiosity, of the people that own both God of War 2 and RE4, who thinks RE4 is better?

I find it hard to see anyone who actually owns them both picking RE4.

dragon quest 8, they were able to do more graphically because it had a more cartoony look to it.
