Going by this thread http://steamcommunity.com/app/33210/discussions/0/617320628230976504/?insideModal=1 it seems Anno 1404 (called Dawn of Discovery/DoD in USA) was available for UK at least until the end of last year. For some reason Ubisoft seems to pull Anno games from time to time for selected countries. Reason unknown.

It's Ubisoft, who the hell knows what they are up to.

Besides being a**holes, of course.

Yeah I figured they'd pulled some stupid shit, this is why Ubisoft are at the bottom of my shit list of corps I don't care/won't support, I hardly bother with Uplay and don't see a reason to bother with it since any Ubi bought game on Steam requires Uplay and then Uplay requires me to download the game even though it;s on my HDD, tried everything in the book but Uplay stamps it's foot down like a child demanding I download the game a second time, if I delete the original it fucks everything up, dunno why but that's Ubisoft for you, Origin gets more love from me than Uplay ever will.

Wow, I'm so glad that I haven't bought any Ubisoft title on Steam... or any other way in a long time.

It's weird how they have changed. Some years ago Ubisoft was a respected PC publisher, with a big and diverse line up of good games and the awesome Codegame line of cheap games. And nowadays it's the opposite, relying mostly on only two franchises (Assassins Creed and Far Cry) and being touted by everybody as one of the worst publishers in the PC arena.

Please excuse my bad English.

Former gaming PC: i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Current gaming PC: R5-7600, 32GB RAM 6000MT/s (CL30) and a RX 9060XT 16GB

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

I thought the same of EA long ago and then they changed too, Activision not so much but I kinda thought they were ok years ago, starting to feel it slightly with CDPR but time will tell where stand.

Dunno if Ubisoft will ever go back to being good, EA has ever so slightly gotten better, even ebat Valve to a few changes made to their client while valve hasn't changed much but it still doesn't make EA what they originally were, they still have a ways to go and I;d imagine ubisoft has leagues to go.
