They're more putting their mouth where their money is (or isn't as the case has been for the best part of 18 months)

Well, at least Sony is being honest with us now. I still enjoy my Vita, but it could've been so much more. It's a very capable little machine.

But at least the support from indies and Japanese devs is still fairly good, with a few new games trickling in every week.

It doesn't really bother me that much. I love my Vita, but I use it mostly to keep up with indies and niche Japanese games. It's a great system for that. Apart from Tearaway there hasn't really been a Sony game that wowed me on the system. I liked the idea behind Gravity Rush but I honestly didn't find it all that fun to play. Uncharted really underperformed (though not graphics wise of course) and Freedom Wars isn't even on my radar at all. Just like the current PS4 exclusives, Sony's in house Vita exclusives have been lacking a certain... I don't know what exactly... but something. Maybe I'm just getting old, maybe I have played too many games, and it has become too hard to wow me... On the other hand I did get wowed by Danganronpa 1 and 2, and Persona 4 Golden...

In any case, I still have a lot of ground to cover in Persona 4 Golden and am excited for Steins Gate and Danganronpa: Despair Girls later this year. Plus, I haven't even touched the copy of Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters I bough a while ago, so I can't complain of a lack of games. I do hope indies will keep supporting the Vita all throughout the PS4's life span. And if they announce another Danganronpa visual novel for the system, I might actually start considering it to be one of my favourite systems of all time

Yeah... like Sony ever cared for it after launch. Oh boo-hoo a monster hunter clone didnt perform as well as the real thing.
If perhaps they had greenlit that second uncharted game Bend wanted to make for it, sales would have been better.

Quite honestly, i have been severely disappointed by Sony and all i asked of them was to localise the japanese games that are still beeing made or out in japan. But, even that they seem incapable of doing.

Ergh... i get too annoyed thinking about this. Its not the first time Sony has disappointed me. I just hope they deliver with the PS4, otherwise i may have to contemplate skipping the next one of their systems again. I just hate it when Sony gets arrogant.

How they are arrogant? you should blame your self for buying apple. What can they do if no body buys the vita

What can they do? They could have cut the price and kept first party support strong. The 3DS could do it, so why wouldnt the Vita? Sure, it wouldnt be a sucess in the level of the PSP, but there was alot there to tap into. Also, they should have called it the PSP2 aswell.

Its too late for that now, so all i ask of them is to localise those japanese games that exist, are developed and just need english text. Its not too much to ask for.

Sony has tunred into an absolute joke in the mobile industry. There is no other company with the resources and brand power they have that could have ever botched things this badly. It seriously takes someone trying purposfully to fail this bad.

They have a huge library of mobile patents they aquired when they bought out the Ericsson. Then there is the massivly successful PlayStation Brand. They have one of the biggest and best digital stores in PlayStation Network. They build the best hardware in the world, and they develop content and software for Music, Movies, Photography, Video Games, and more.

All of that, and what do they have. A wasted attempt at a handheld gaming console in the Vita, and a phone line in Xperia that nobody wants, and that takes zero advantage of the above.

The flat out stubbornness of not creating a PlayStation Phone, and not expanding the PlayStation brand beyond entertainment is going to be the death of the entire company. They let Apple and Google come out of nowhere with android and ios and absolutly blow them away at their own game, and here we are nearly 10 years later, and they still have not responded.

If they do not put out a PlayStation Phone on their own OS in the next 12 months, then they can shut the door oon PlayStation Now, PlayStation Music, PlayStation Video, and PlayStation Vue. Nobody is going to use PlayStation services on Samsung, HTC, Apple, LG, etc., etc, etc, devices. And, building a brand around a competitors OS has already bit them once, so why would they do it again. Xperia is Vaio all over again. They can not expect PlayStation network to live side by side with Google Play and Itunes if they are doing nothing to try and pull people away from those ecosystems. People spend 24 hours a day with Itunes and Google Play. PlayStation Network is limited to free time when people are at home. This is not a winning formula.

Sony is breaking records with PS4 and PS Vita. PS4 is breaking sales records, and the PSV just broke the record for fastest console ever to become a legacy system.

Poor Vita :(
