Hahaha that poll reflects reality even less than UK polls did reflect the election result.

I refuse to believe there is a huge crowd of Sim Racer hungry users just dying for a game on Wii U. It seems far more likely that Nintendo websites sniffed the chance to get a 3rd party game and sent all their users to tick Wii U.

The simple truth is, this would have struggled to muster up tens of thousands of sales on Wii U.

The arguments just don't stack up for me. People are upset because Nintendo users have been denied a chance to play the game now. Yet evidence of previous 3rd party releases shows that there isn't an audience there wanting to play the games on Wii U. It would have been a late port, which is used as justification not to buy a game on Nintendo. It would have been inferior in every way to the other versions, which is used as a justification not to buy a game on Nintendo. Newsflash, if you only have a Wii U, it doesn't matter how gimped or late a port is, it's still the only way you can play that game. So if you really wanted it, you'd still buy it.

Then we're led to believe that SMS have cut off a huge chunk of their potential audience? Pretty much anyone wanting this game would have already had access to it on PC, PS4 or XB1, because this is where the audience for this genre of game lies.

This was the real reason PS3 games sold well despite being inferior to the Xbox 360 versions. They still wanted the game, and didn't have a 360 and so had to "settle" for the inferior version.

This.  You nailed it.

Still waiting people reasoning for devs avoiding money and more demonstration of programing knowledge.

There is only one simple reason why they aint making the game, ROI wouldn't be favourable. Of course Nintendo can sweet talk them, finance the port, help, outsource, etc. I doubt they would do it or that it would sell well even if release just as promised and on time.

I don't want to be nasty but who planned to buy this game on Wii U?

You're seriously asking this question? You do know the ones that were mainly hyping this game were nintendo fans right?

The game coning evebtually certainly doesnt excuse thier mishandling.

I missed the word a month ago but am standing by my previous statements. Im gonns consider two more campains to be a lot when they got so much money already. I dont even hate M9 like the rest of the intetnet.

Im faiy certain Mono was to be a 2013 game, unless i checked wrong.

Mono was planned for December 2013 on PC/Mac/Linux and released on those platforms in May 2014. Consoles were intended to come later. If you push the projected dates given for them back the same six months the other versions were pushed back, they're less than a year behind. Not sure if they will come at all, for the reasons I mentioned.

On the contrary I think that the game ultimately living up to its promises excuses anything that might have transpired during its development. Shovel Knight's release was handled in almost the same way as Broken Age. Both games ran out of funds before the content was completed, and released in an unfinished state so that the profits could be used to fund the development of the rest of the game.

As I said, leaving the PayPal open and adding stretch goals to it is not an additional "campaign." How many campaigns has Star Citizen had, in that case?

Stop hitting me with your facts I wanna be grumpy screw you man.

Really though, you make good points and are very calm and I respect you more.

Their excuse is that while is possible to keep stable 30fps at 720p it will take a lot of effort from them to accomplish it(maybe by using wii u specific features like fixed functionality), if thats the case then there are easier ways to accomplish the goal without so much effort

Use SMAA isntead of MSAA or EQAA

1.-If THEY by chance are using MSAA or maybe EQAA like the ps4 and xbox one, they can replace it with SMAA which gives similar results to MSAA with less strain improving performance and doesnt blur as much as FXAA and can be used as a post-processing antialaising solutionhttp://www.tweakguid.../Crysis3_6.html

Try Occlussion Culling and maybe Frustrum too

2.-Occlusion Culling is a feature that disables rendering of objects when they are not currently seen by the camera because they are obscured by other objects. This does not happen automatically in 3D computer graphics since most of the time objects farthest away from the camera are drawn first and closer objects are drawn over the top of them (this is called “overdraw”). Occlusion Culling is different from Frustum Culling. Frustum Culling only disables the renderers for objects that are outside the camera’s viewing area but does not disable anything hidden from view by overdraw. Note that when you use Occlusion Culling you will still benefit from Frustum Culling.

3.-Some adjustments on the LOD(level of detail) for renders that are far away is also an option.

Try out a variable framebuffer so that resolution will change instead of the framerate (Wipe Out HD did this)

4.-Another approach is to use a variable resolution/framebuffer so that resolution will change isntead of the framerate during the gameplay, this way whenever there would be fps peaks the resolution will change isnteadThis trick was used in Wipe Out HD for the ps3 tokeep the 60fps at variable 1080p(resolution could go as low as 1440×1080 certain times) and tricked many as is not very noticeable in race gameshttp://www.eurogamer...sleight-of-hand

Another valuable lesson to learn about Kickstarter.

When they see how much splatoon sells they'll release it.

What is the lesson? That games not on kick starter don't get kick started and when you make a financial investment with the chance of financial rewards the backers pick the route most likely to make them money? Cool lesson!

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Cant believe that false kickstarter narrative is still being peddled.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

it was expected.
