Pretty sure it is, I heard that the studio behind development fell apart and Microsoft decided that it was better to just axe the project rather than look for help from 3rd party companies. The news didn't gather too much attention since it was a niche game, exclusive to the machine that was getting Halo 5.

Microsoft says they're still working on their planned reboot for Xbox One, which they announced last year at E3, to much excitement.

But it remains unclear whether publisher is using what's already been created by Darkside or totally starting from scratch—and they won't give any details—which has led fans and even the ex-developers at Darkside to wonder just what the hell is going on.

They just moved it off into others hands, it was only canceled with the original partners. So you are actually wrong.

I'm happy I'm wrong then, that game was one of the most interesting things MS has shown off in the last 5 years, along with Scalebound.

I'm now filled with determination.

I think they see the potential in the game and want to make sure it's done right. Or you never know the studio may have been shit to work with. You never know.

Non-stop PR from the other side but if we get some about Xbox One, we got a whole slew of Jelly's just showing up. LOL

Not sure what you are going on about, MS have been far more vocal than Sony leading up to E3.

Yeah. In fact, Ms is the only one who talk about E3 non-stop.

Nintendo didn't really said a lot, sony even less, Ea nothing, bethseda nothing, Square-enix nothing, etc.

These articles were written to raise the excitement for Microsoft's E3 presentation by mentioning games that were already announced, hinting at unannounced tiles and vaguely describing what's going to be on their agenda. I think it should be obvious at this point that they're simply not written for nerds who frequently visit gaming forums because they contain no new information or content.

I agree, people here are not understanding the marketing aspect of everyday business. I do think we will have some surprises though.
