I have nothing against it being multiplat as Dark Souls, but I think FS works better together with Sony to create new stuff. |
i know my opinion has almost NO VALUE on this, since im a "sony fan" and therefore my opinion will be seen as a biased opinion, but the first time i got interested in the soul series was in 2012 when Dark Souls came out, i also knew about Demons Souls years before that but i wasnt interested on it at the time, but then (thanks to Dark Souls hype train) i ended up buying both games in 2012 and i HONESTLY (i swear to god) expected Dark Souls to be a MUCH better game than Demons Souls, to the point that i Played Demons Souls first because i thought that if i played Dark Souls first i wouldnt be able to enjoy Demons Souls later because of all the "improvements" that Dark Souls Supposedly had, and men i was wrong... so wrong...
to Dark Souls credit, it fixed the healing system (which wasnt really broken) but it was improved in DkS, and it added the open world structure which is now a staple of the series.
but outside from that it took away a lot of interesting concepts that Demons Souls had, (a dedicated hub world, the character and world tendency and the results and impact this ones had on the world), not to mention it did a thing that i never liked which was reusing bosses multiple times (that assylum demon... 3 times you can fight it in one playthrough... and those gargoyles appear more than once as well...) and it made Bosses become regular enemies which in my opinion sucks because it takes away the uniquenes of the boss, and it stops being a memorable ("formidable enemy") and becomes this regular enemy that you can easily kill later in the game... making their appearance as bosses in NG+ seem MUCH MUCH less impressive and important.
