Remember when Best Buy announced both Nobunaga's Ambition and Shovel Knight for retail release by adding the games on their listing, ten Yacht Club Games said something so everyone assumed neither listing was true?  With the official annoucement of Nobunaga's Ambition, it shows that there was some truth behind Best Buy's listing and there's a good chance Shovel Knight is also releasing at retail.  Makes me think Yacht Club Games is lying to their fanbase to get as many digital sales as they can, then release it retail and pick up the extra sales on top of people double dipping for the retail editon.  In a few months when the retail edition is officially announced, someone please remember to bump this.

No.  Thy said while they'd lke to release it at retail, the listing is a mistake.  I think they're lying through their teeth.

Or if they have after that then I missed it but I'm still right, just late.

Physical release of Shovel Knight would be cool! And we're still looking into that! Any retail details are just a mis-listing at this time.

Well its listed for PS4, XB1 and 3DS. No WiiU version seems weird...

Their tweet suggests their still working on the retail version but the listing was still a mistake because they're not done with whatever procedures they need to go through for the physical release.

Well it's come out on pretty much everything already. About time it actually "came out" I suppose.

A physical release is certainly not a.crazy idea.

An official confirmation would be nice though.

I'd normally prefer physical over digital, but I'm expecting this to be more expensive so I'll pass
