I think so. The bullet bill and star power ups lasted way longer. The blue shell appeared way more often. It was just easier to get back in the race if you fell behind.

What are you guys on about? Are you saying MKWii's balance is worse than 8's? Well vehicle-wise maybe, but item-wise no, the balance actually made sense there with those in the back getting better items than those in the front allowing for more interesting races that Mario Kart's all about.

Not in any sense. MKWii was harder than both 7 and 8. That's actually one of the most recurrent compains, althought people disguise as "balance" or some other excuse.

I disagree. Im not a big MK player, but came often in the top 3 when playing online. With MK8 Im lucky to get 6th place...

I don't tend to play online but my experience so far was different. In MKWii I found great players while MK8 was a cakewalk lifeless session, like the single player.

This is exactly what I like the Mario kart series. You can be at 8th position and still have a chance to win unlike mod nation racers when the person in first place can leave you way behind that you don't have any chance whatsoever to get him and if you are really bad, he might have an one lap advantage.

Try the online. Its pretty brutal at times...

I already tried and it was a better experience than the sp. I still prefer MKWii online's. That was brutal.

Guess I was just amazing at MK during those days then...
