Beat it twice, 1000d it as well. I'd love a sequel.

I absolutely adored Eternal Sonata.

If you're hungry for another game with that kind of feel, tri-Crescendo also worked on the two Baten Kaitos games on the GameCube (so you can play them if you've got a Wii as well), and Motoi Sakuraba did the soundtracks for those as well. They've got a fairly similar feel to ES.

But yes, I'd love to see a follow-up RPG. Not necessarily a sequel, but something with that same kind of mood.

Eh...the atmosphere and story seemed nice, but there was something about the combat system that bored me to tears.

Their combat system was a fun idea.
Turn based + time limted action based, lots of botton mashing.

It's Bamco.

You forgot to wish for a localization too.

Sure, or any other JRPG because...JRPGs!

Maybe not a sequel, because there's no way to follow-up with the main character's story....

But overall it's one of my favorite games ever, I appreciate all the references to music.

I'd definitely love to see something similar, maybe focus on Bach now? Haha.

Needs improements. The combat got pretty stale and the pacing slowed toa crawl mid-way. I never beat it because it bored me too much. It had star ocean 3's combat and Tales like characters. Its not a bad combination, but it didnt perform each aspect especially brilliantly.

I'm not opposed toa sequal, but both Star ocean amd Tales are getting sequals. I wonder if an Eternal sonata 2 wouldnt fall in the same pitfalls of the first game and fall under the radar.

Mostly this. The battle system was not well thought out and it felt like it needed more layers than what was actually there. Also the high damage output at like lv 10 was obnoxious. Nothing to work up to.

Has Namco Bandai hinted about a new rpg?
