Minecraft used to make me dizzy and nauseous, I had to turn off the bobble thing.

Maybe there will be a setting option for you to turn off.

The first time I play a new Metroid Prime game I always feel nauseous, but then it fades.

I don't have a problem with it, but I could see the shaky gyro movement giving some people issues.

This game seems like it would get old quick. Not try pour salt in anyone's kool-aid I just feel like it could be a mini game in Mario party. It must be something I'm not getting. To be honest though I've only seen a couple videos. Could anyone tell me why they are hyped about it?

if you wanna play a shooter that never gets old play ut, quake or cs.

and the people are hyped about the moving mechanic and some other gameplay aspects that make this game a little bit special.(ohh and its not grey and aimed at 14 year olds that like to fuck the mothers of their team mates or enemys)

Never really had that problem in my experiences.

no offense but you could say that about literally any shooter. this has at least as much or more diversity and options than the majority of FPS based games out there, besides the lack of voice chat

you deliberately not 'getting' it I think

No, didn't happen to me (or with any other game).

But I know a guy who can't play Portal or Mirror's Edge because of dizziness.

I do, but not as badly as other games... I get really dizzy from watching any first person games (Minecraft, FPS, etc.) Being unable to predict which way they will turn, it makes it hard for me to watch

But as for me playing, I don't get dizzy as easily, though I still may (esp. first person games) after a while

Not exactly how it works, upon meeting an enemy they WILL shoot at you, and probably chase you also. Killing an enemy causes them to spray your teams ink all around them, and knocks them out of the match for a few seconds, thus painting the ground for your team, while making sure your team has a temporary advantage in the amount of ground you can cover as you have more players on the field.

Long story short, killing = winning.

As far as I can see, fundamentally there isn't much of a difference between the enemy and the ground. Enemies are grounded and they are almost always standing in their own ink. They are a bit of ground that can move and shoot back at you.

So basically you don't like confrontation then? Sounds like Turf War + Roller is for you my friend! While the shot and especially the charger type weapons will likely have you taking out other players, with Roller types it's better to stay away from fire fights and cover ground behind the enemies backs.

I wouldn't put it that way. I like chess, but I prefer not to play with a clock -- that make sense? Competitive multiplayer games I enjoy include Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Pikmin (Bingo Battle), ZombiU, Team Fortress 2.

I don't enjoy Halo. I always seem to die in one hit. My understanding is that this is called a "twitch shooter" which I guess means it requires very fast reflexes; I prefer slower games. A good example might be Warcraft 3. I really enjoyed the gameplay and played online a lot, but I was very slow and got destroyed regularly. To play at a high level it seems like you have to be doing something constantly, and I just don't enjoy that.

The roller should be good. I actually think I will like the ranked battles more than Turf War, as that's the one that encourages constant action the most. I think I may enjoy using a charger in Splat Zones and Tower Control, taking a more methodical approach trying to hide from and snipe enemies. Tower Control in particular sounds a lot like the Payload mode of TF2, which sounds great to me.

All this may change when I finally get to play the game, I don't know. I don't have a Wii U yet so I can't try out the Test-Fire. These are just impressions I have from watching gameplay online. I've had similar experiences with other games where I have a hard time following the action when watching passively, but no trouble when I'm in control.
