Forums - Sony - Sony: 'No Concerns' for Holiday lineup

Let's not all jump the gun. I wouldn't be surprised if they have a big AAA game set for this Holiday.

There might be a reason why they delayed Uncharted 4 way in advance and it could be to make room for a unknown exclusive. We know they have a lot of studios working on unknown projects and if they can reveal and release a console in 9 months, I'm sure they can reveal and launch a game within 6.

Sony tend to spread exclusives and I've seen it before, people slating Sony for less exclusives in the holiday than their competitors even though they released more exclusives for that year.

I don't know how to say it, but its kinda like Sony doesn't care once you bought the console. They already got your money and increased their market share, so in this way, you've already served your purose. Now all they gotta do is wait for you to buy the superior 3rd party multiplats and watch the money roll in.

It seems like its their whole strategy. Its why they are focusing on exclusive content with 3rd party games, advertisiing exclusivity with 3rd party games, and are piimping all the indies like they are the greatest thing on the planet. Some token first party support and some of 3rd party exclusives along with superior 3rd party multiplats, and they win this generation with minimal effort.

Yep,which statement is truest?

"ALL of Sony's first party studios are standing around doing nothing and they haven't release a single exclusive

or

"Sony have release 1st party game - MLB, Killzone, LBP3, The Order, Drive Club - pulled in exclusive and timed exclusives from 3rd party developers, have exclusives and timed exclusives from 3rd party developers in the pipeline, have announced 1st party exclusives on the horizon and we know that they have studios working on unannounced projects."

One it true and one partly contradicts what you say.

1. Bloodborne targets a small and very specific audience.

2. MLB 15: The Show, targets an even smaller audience.

3. The Order: 1886 was Sony's only title to target a the masses, but that title crashed and burned harder than any title has this gen.

And what is your point? Besides a metascore of at least 92, now games have to have a minimum size target audience to be truly counted as worth mentioning exclusive?

Sony is the market leader and they are in a position to announce their first party games in a time they think is appropriate. The awesome sales are likley driven by something other than just anticipation.

I agree with you except on 1 item. Everyone keeps saying No Man's Sky doesnt could because its developed by an Indie team. According to what I have read and heard, none of us will ever experience everything the game has to offer. Little team, huge game. Way I see it, its def a AAA game made by a smaller team.

I do wish UC4 or something was also coming out, but I bet you would finish all of the microsoft games before you would explore all of No Man's Sky.
