CAPCOM opened a website on Wednesday, revealing that it is developing a new Mario Party game for arcades titled Mario Party Fushigi no Challenge World (Mario Party Mysterious Challenge World). CAPCOM will unveil the six-player arcade game machine at the Japan Amusement Expo (JAE) on February 19 at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, and it plans to launch the game in arcades this summer.
CAPCOM is developing the game to be easy to play and use. The center of the machine will have a projector, that shows a roulette. The machine will have six touch panels for players to use. The game will have mini-games, board games, boss events, and jackpot games. Players will be able to choose which character to use from the Super Mario Bros. series.
Mario Party is a game series, originally developed by Hudson Soft and published by Nintendo, which features characters from Nintendo's Super Mario Bros. game series. In the games, players participate in mini-games and party games. Nintendo released Mario Party 10, the latest game in the series, for the Wii U last March.
