I preordered the Special edition already as well!
But sucks we Aussies (and EU) still don't have a release date and will most likely get it at April....... Fuck Life!!!! February was a perfect month to play it because Uni haven't started yet for me =(

Same.  I figured Splatoon's fresh and interesting gameplay and quality of content would overcome it's smaller size and give it an edge over most, but Xenoblade Chronicles X is just a really great game with a ton of ambition and scale.  I am shocked that Mario Maker didn't even come within striking distance of second though.  

Opening Details for the Remodelled Nintendo NY Store are Confirmed

Earlier this year Nintendo announced a major revamp for its flagship New York store; giving hope to those that hope to see multiple outlets open around North America and globally, it's being rebranded from Nintendo World Store to Nintendo NY.

Opening on 19th February, the big N has now outlined details for that re-launch. Media will be gawking at the new design from 9am - 10am local time on the day, while the store will open to the public at noon. There'll naturally be a big Mario mascot there to cut the ribbon; you can see an excerpt from the press release below.

When the store opens to the public at noon, there will be a series of activities, including giveaways, like exclusive Splatoon art created by the developers of the hit game (while supplies last), and appearances by costumed characters like Mario and Luigi. The store will also sell exclusive souvenirs that can only be purchased that weekend, including a limited-edition T-shirt featuring Mario or Link. Fans who want to try out some of Nintendo's latest games are in luck, as new and upcoming Wii U and Nintendo 3DS games will be available to play.

If you need a reminder on what's coming, the whole space will be redesigned to include more Wii U and 3DS demo units, along with a giant 15 foot gaming screen. You can see the concept image of that below - check out the old Wii-gen assets! - and the entrance will also have an enormous bronze coin, pictured at the top.

I agree with the order of the the top 4 and didn't play the other games.
3DS had nothing for me in 2015, but 2016 looks better with Fire Emblem Fates and the Dragon Quest remakes.

Never played it, but I could try the demo.

Reminds me of Wizardry or Might and Magic.
