How on Earth are videogame-dedicated stores so bad when it comes to preorders? I don't usually preorder, but when I do I always go to non-dedicated videogame stores, and they have never failed me.

I would say it's either a lack of communication or miscommunication with the manufacturers.  Which isn't surprising since most retailers like to push the "preorder now, ask questions later" hypefest fiasco that is modern preorder culture.  

Got a serious heartattack from this, but fortunately, it seems that my preorder is safe.

Basically

Splatfests are preset dates so when you play Splatoon during that time, you can only play in the Splatfest (or private lobby)

They last for 24 hours and you have to choose a team before playing, of course

Kind of expected because of course this doesn´t come with the wolf link amiibo. If I get the game I´m going digital.

That´s could work, however I´m from Mexico and they charge $10 dollars because of the Import Fees Deposit and an extra $5 for shipping and handling so not an option for me
