I thought my rain team would be able to wreck Groudon as easily as it beat Kyogre, but having not played OR/AS, I was ignorant of his ability buff. Can't be overwritten by other weather effects and water type moves are useless? That seems pretty OP, both in this game and the mainseries. Between my team of 3 I had only three attacks that could even damage him. Was a second away from resetting the game, but figured I may aswell try first. Well I did more than try, I somehow won still! Twas a new years miracle! ...sike it was just my super awesome skillz. :L |
Just to let you know, now, as of the rules of VGC 2016, 2 OP legendaries per team are allowed: every single team to be considered viable MUST have Kyogre or (preferibly) Groudon since their abilities wreck everything...

Oh I don't play competitively. Did consider doing so at one point, but I was still playing Yugioh at the time and didn't feel like juggling both. Their recent rule changes only made me feel better about my decision!

I don't blame you, last year was meh with the culmination of the horrible master finals at the world championships (9/10 of the top 10 players had MKangaskhan, and many, many teams were basically the same) and this year with this big leggends seems to have even fewer options to compose a team. The only fun thing is that Golduck became God in one day lmao

Hah that sounds a lot like Yugioh which I stopped playing competitively recently. But hey atleast Pokemon doesn't have set rotations plus high cost.
My MK7 road to 100% completition is going pretty well, I got 3 stars in all of the 50 and 100 cc cups, as of now I've got 3 stars on the mushroom, shell and flower cup in 150cc, for some reason it took me a while to get 3 stars in the flower cup, sometimes I take a break and play some specular mode and start to get concerned, I only got 1 star in each cup when I first played the game and apparently I can't do anything better than that... :/
